Qi Energy
Qi (Chi) is the essential life-force energy that flows through all living things. The food we eat, the air we breath, even the thoughts in our minds have an effect on our Qi. Stress, negative emotions, and poor diet can deplete our body’s chi. A healthy body is one in which all systems are well nourished by a smooth and balanced flow of Qi. When the flow of Qi is blocked the body becomes vulnerable to disease. Moreover, when injury, trauma, diseases or toxins compromise the body’s internal systems it can be detected externally as a blockage in the flow of chi. Knowledge of the meridians and their associated organs makes it possible to follow the flow of Qi throughout the body. In this way the practitioner can see where chi is deficient or in excess, both of which are imbalances and can be corrected.
