Bladder Meridian

There are sixty seven acupoints along the Bladder Meridian including the Golden Acupoint, BL40. This important meridian is sometimes referred to as the “Minister of the Reservoir” and is, by far, the longest meridian on the body. Bladder qi is primarily responsible for excretion of bodily fluids but it also influences the sexual organs due to its association with the kidneys (the holder of essence). The bladder is susceptible to cold and dampness. Excessive sexual activity as well as suppressed feelings of fear, jealousy, and suspicion, can adversely affect bladder qi.
