The Gall Bladder stores and concentrates bile from the liver to aid in the digestion of dense, fatty foods. Disorders of the Gall Bladder Qi are often the cause of lower rib-side pain and may be caused by excessive anger. Blockages in this meridian are often associated with headaches due to toxicity from fatty foods. The Gall Bladder Meridian has an important Golden Acupoint located just below the side of the knee which is used to treat pain in the lower rib-side area as well as headaches.
